CRISIS IN EGYPT TROOPS STANDING BY PARTIES AT DEADLOCK MOVE FOR COALITION

The political position isi grave. Troops ami police have been ordered to stand by and provincial Governors are remaining at their posts. A complete party deadlock prevails. The Wai'd organisation proposes a Wai'd Cabinet and a royal commission, including the minority party, to negotiate with Britain, and the provision of seats in the new Parliament for the minority.
Nairn's Pasha urges that a neutral Cabinet should conduct the election.
The United Front leaders, Mahmoud Pasha..and Sidkv Pasha, have decided thai*the Wafd proposals arc unacceptable. They favor the formation of a coalition under Nahas Pasha to negotiate with Britain and submit the result to (he electorate prior to the elections. Nahas Pasha said in an interview that King Fuad remained the master of the country.
