Waikato Ewe Values
WITH the first of the Poverty Bay and East Coast breeding ewes arriving in the Waikato saleyards, it is interesting to note that opening rates last year were: —Two-tooth ewes.
24s_ to 265; four and .six-tooth, 22s (id to 255; four-year, 20s to 235; five-year, 18s to 21s; six-year, Ms to 10s. Through February a general advance of about- 2s a head took place, but isolated sales that have taken place this year clearly indicate higher expectations. ,
