TENNIS ON THE COAST
HICKEY CUP MATCH TOLAGA BEAT TOKOMARU (Herald Correspondent.) During tlie week-end a team from the T(Jlaga Bay Tennis Club visited Tokomaru Bay ami played it elutllenge matelt for tlie Hickey Cup against a local team. I'lte visitors proved too strong for their opponents and won convincingly by 17 games to seven. All hough overcast in the morning, weather conditions proved ideal for tennis and a very pleasant day was spent. At the conclusion of the day's play. Mr ('. Bowen congratulated the winning team and called on Mr Colson to accept the cup on behalf of the Tolaga leant. .Mr Colson, in reply, thanked the local club for the enjoyable day. making special mention of the ladies who had provided lunch and teas during the day and extended .-in invitation lo the Tokoimmt clnli to visit Tolaga in the near future.
