HYDRO DEVELOPMENT
SURVEYS IN WESTLAND The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, and the Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb', after visiting the Kokatahi had Humphreys districts, left on Sunday for South Westland, where they inspected the Okarito harbor works.
At Kokatahi the settlers requested the utilisation of the Toarolia falls in hydroelectrical development. Mr Semple promised to have surveys made of Westland hydro resources.
