Undaunted by the efforts of his employer to keep him home at night, a 15-year-old Maori hoy, clad only in a shirt, broke and entered the Post Office at Kinohaku, near Kawhia, and two stores, stealing £2 17s 6d in money and goods valued at £8 Tls 6d. It was explained by the police that the youth previously had been under the supervision of the child wellare department, and secured a position at Kinoliaku, where his employer, to prevent a recurrence of his conduct, took the precaution of removing the youth’s trousers each evening. The bov left his bed dad only in a shirt, committing (he offences enumerated. He was committed to the care of the child welfare superintendent, and restitution of the stolen goods was ordered,
