RIDDLE A WINNER RADIANT STAR’S WELTER. [MELBOURNE, Dec. 29. Results at the Mentone races were : Beaumaris Handicap.—Riddle, 8.1 (Jenkins), 1; Heroic's Pride, 7.11 (Dempsey), 2; Gay Lot, 8.7 (A. Reed), 3. Fourteen started, including Jduvule. Won by a length, and a neck. Time, 1.1. Talgarno Welter. —Radiant Star, 8.8 (Skidmore), 1; Polly Speck, 9.4 (Creighton), 2; Bite Again, 7.11 (Dewhurst), 3. Ten started, including First Song. Won by a length, and a neck. Time, 1.26 j. Firebrick was third in the first division of the Tri&l Handicap. Gleidomm was unplaced in the second division. Lobonguln was unplaced in the third division. Greenhorn was unplaced in the Summer Handicap, which was won by Mussette. Cape. Horn was third in the Mentone Purse. Lady Primrose and Quarto were unplaced in the Mentone Plate.
