Coining face to face with Labor'? big Parliamentary battalion when it gathered nt Parliament Buildings for a caucus this morning, one was impressed with the youthfulness of the party. It has many veterans, bin there is a heavy reinforcement of youth. Cheerfulness was natural tinder the circumstances, and for an hour before the meeting commenced there wore congratulatory groups spread around the corridors. The party mustered first for a photograph, and as the members walked out one asked: "Is this a caucus or a route inarch.'" h was an impressive spectacle in numbers, and when the caucus began in privacy of tin' Labor Whip's room, it totalled oS.

One significant feature was the presence of prominent Labor personages, who air not in the Parliamentary representation. There was Mr .lames Roberts, the head of the Alliance of Labor, and as a matter of course, the lion. M. Pagan, the .Hon. T. OT.yrne. and the lion. T. Bloodwortb, Legislative Councillors associated with the Labor Party, were invited lo the caucus.

It is expected thai the gathering will last throughout the day, and no indication of the new Cabinet is sot possible.

Members id' the National Government were all in Parliament Buildings to-day busy clearing up ready for their successors. files of discarded documents required many parcel hampers for their dispatch to the destructor.
