NORTH CHINA TENSION
ARMY OF JAPAN RENEWAL OF ACTIVITIES LONDON, Nov. 7. The Times Peking correspondent says that there is nervousness in official circles- regarding the Japanese army's renewed activity in North China, including extensive manoeuvres along the railway line south of Peking, dislocating incoming traffic, while Japanese gendarmes, acting without the permission of the Chinese authorities, are arresting numbers of Chinese, at Peking and Tientsin.
Chinese officials are unable to decide whether the new activity is designed merely to ''keep the ,pot boiling" or whether if presages more serious developments in view of Europe's preoccupation in the Abyssinian dispute.
