Novelty in transport never fails to excite interest, and tticrc was no exception in the case of the rail motorcar used to convey members of tho Railways Board on a tour of inspection in tho Waikato and Bay of Plenty districts. The interest shown by scores of people at tho Auckland railway station was even exceeded at tho country stations where the car stopped.
