Boys, leaves on Tuesday for Xuhaka.- Mrs F. Cummiug is Hie guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs L. C. Arthur. Motuhora. —Mr and Mrs Hawkins and family, Auckland, have arrived at .Motuhora, where Mr Hawkins lias been appointed manager ol the stone quarry.—Miss Farrow, Auckland. is the guest of her brother, Mr. A. Farrow, Motuhora. —Mrs A. WThomson is paying a brief visit to Gisborne.—Mrs \\. A. Wright, left this morning, accompanied by Sister May Gardner and Mrs W. A. MeOliskie, for Auckland, where they will attend the annual general meeting of Ihe Womens Institutes of New Zealand.
Prior to the I'.K.A. ball mi Friday night , Mr and Airs 11. G. Roys, “IbslejV entertained a few of their friends at a delightful impromptu dinner party. The diningroom was very cheerful with howls of cream daisies and japoniea, and a huge log lire. Those present were Mr and All's <l. S. 13ridge; Air and Airs A. W. Thomson; Air and Mrs W. A. Wright ; Misses Al. Allan, and N. Stevens: and Messrs F. AlcLcan, B. Gilbertson ami G. A. Wright. Airs •(!. Hutchins and Airs T. Jackson, who are patients in Cook Hospital, Gisborne. are making good progress towards recovery.
