The Guardian’s Berlin correspondent says the present anti-Semitic campaign is a desperate attempt to divert public attention from economic realities. The rollapse of foreign trade and the failure of Dr. Schacht’a new plan to remedy it has caused widespread fears of inflation among the investing and propertied classes, and the- masses arc discontented at low wages. The Stahlhehns have strongly resisted Hitlerism, especially in respect of antiSemitism. If the" Nazis dissolve the Stnhlhclm organisations throughout Germany it will' be difficult to prevent their reappearance in another form. Meanwhile the Nazis are concentrating on the Jews.

General Daleuge, a colleague of Count von Helldort, denounces the Jews as criminals and declares that pickpockets arc almost all Jews, and that Jews are also principal drug-traffickers, gainingllosue proprietors, and sponsors of other illegal activities.
