During the past year there has been a record number ot sales of farm properties and settlement of improved sections in Tauranga County. A report presented by Mr. H. Lewis, county clerk, lo the Tauranga County Council at its last meeting, stated that the Valuation Department had forwarded the revision lists for all rolls, embracing alterations in respect of sales and transfers of land in the county during the year. The total of new occupiers was 207, involving 330 alterations in the roll. The great majority of the sales of properties were to people from other parts of New Zealand,
