The directors of the Mercantile Mutual Insurance Company, Limited, recommend the payment of a final dividend of 4 per cent., making, with the interim dividend of 3 per cent., 7 per cant, for the year. The' dividend for the previous year was 6 per cent. J. Staples and Company, Limited, on Saturday advised the Stock Exchange Association that the directors bad declared an interim dividend tit the unchanged rate of 2j per cent, for the half-year ended June 30, on the copilal of the company.
