MAYOR ENTERS FIELD IXDEPE NDK N T CA N DID A 'l' E (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this clay. In reply to a petition from local residents presented by a deputation this morning, the Mayor, Mr. A. L. Mansion!, agreed to contest the Palmerston seat at the general election as an Independent. He stated he would reserve the right to support any party whose policy coincided with his views.
WAIKATO SEAT LABOR PARTY NOMINEE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. R, Coulter, the -Mayor of To Aroha, has been adopted as the Labor Party candidate for the Waikato seat at the general election.
