Tlir {■astern district council y>f the Royal Agricultural Society, with, its headquarters in Napier, wrote to tile Poverty Pay A. and P. Association, which met to-day, urging support for the forthcoming Royal Show to he held in Napier. The society offered to pay all freight in excess of 200 miles. The show would lie an eastern districts effort. —It was decided to reply staling that, owing to the lack of railway communication the (lishorne and Coast, districts were at a distinct disadvantage, and would not benefit from the concession of free freight above the 200 miles limit. Some concession would lie necessary if the Gisborne district was to he well represented at the show.
