£BOSO PAID AT AUCTION
AUCKLAND WAREHOUSE FOUR - STOREY BUILDING' (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Within a few minutes, the warehouse of Messrs. I’. Hayman and Company, Customs street cast, was sold at public auction to the Farmers’ Co-oporatitc Auctioneering Company, Limited, the price being £BOSO. The opening bid was for £6500, the price rising quickly 'by the amount of £250. and then by amounts of £IOOO lo £BOOO. A rise of £SO closed the transaction, the general opinion being that a'u excellent property had been obtained for a favorable price. The- warehouse, which has a road access at the back, is only 60yds. from Queen street. The building, which is of brick, comprises four storeys and a basement. The property, which has a frontage of 09ft. to Customs street east, is held on lease from the Auckland Harbor Board for a term expiring in 1948 at. an annual rental of £370, with halt compensation for the building at the end of the lease. _ A new lease can be obtained if desired.
