Mr. W. F. Robinson, lecturer at the Canterbury College. Engineering School in Surveying and Building Construction, is shortly to retire. Mr. Robinson has been a member of the college staff since 1912. At last evening’s meeting of the Gis borne High School .Board of Governors, the board approved of the promotion of Miss E. E. Stephens, M.A., to an A grade position. The board also approved 1 1io appointment of Air. J. E. Duncan, M.Agr.Sc., as permanent agricultural instructor.
The appointment of, Mr. W. L. Ran.stead, of Matangi, as secretary of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association to till the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. C. E. Goosman, has been made. There were 50 applications lor the position. Mr. Ranstead lias farmed at Matangi for many years. Passengers who travelled to Napier yesterday by the East Coast Airways’ plane included Misses Reeve and «). oilvenvood: Messrs. L. Miles, J. Waueliop, W. I). Brown and E. Flanigan.
