A man whose thumb was bitten by a performing seal in a sideshow was the only first-aid case dealt with at the St. John Ambulance casualty depot at ihe Auckland Winter Exhibition. The visitor’s thumb was severely .lacerated. Dr Eugene Lynch,- r.fdium officer to the Wellington Hospital, who for the past 12 rnpnths has been doing postgraduate work .in, radiology in London and on the continent, will return by the Port Fairy oil August. 15. Dr Lynch recently gained the diploma in radiology of the University of London. During his visit to Europe Dr Lynch had the opportunity of investigating the latest radiological methods. At the request of the Wellington division of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society lie; has been studying the methods of administration and control at the cancer centres in London and Paris.
