Spring Lubrication

THE efficiency of a leaf spring depends very largely upon the ability of the separate leaves to slide in contact with each other, yet the percentage of motor vehicles that have the leaves of the springs practically sealed together by rust is surprisingly large. The necessity for efficient lubrication, so that the leaves can function properlv, is evidently not appreciated by many car owners, who in client are riding on springs that are little better than a solid beam. The results tire in creased vibration, harder work tor the tyros, and less comfort for the occupants. If the springs are to do their work properly, then formation of rust should' be avoided by providing adequate inter leaf lubrication.
