HOSPITAL ADDITIONS S. CANTERBURY BOARD (Per Pi-eKs Association.} TIMARU. last nierht. The South Canterbury Hospital Hoard decided to-day to seek'the authority of he Local Government Loans Hoard to raise a loan of £52.000 for additions and alterations to the Timaru and Waimate Hospitals. It is proposed to spend £40.000 on ; the erection of a new three-storey patj ie-nts' block, a new theatre block con- ■ taininp; two theatres, and a new threestorey wing nurses' home. The proposal fur \Vaimate is a new operating theatre.
