When wharf laborers commenced to remove the cargo from the Mararaa to-day, they discovered in the hold a woman who appeared to be about 50 years of age. She had been four days without food or water. The woman explained that she boarded the Manama at Wellington, and had wandered round avoiding the cre-w. She lumped 12ft. from the storeroom to the cargo in the hold. Hardly had she done so, however, before srmeone closed the door, unwittingly imprisoning her. She had never been in Australia before, and all her people were in New Zealand. She said she had suddenly taken it into her head to come to Australia. ■• .._-_. The boarding inspector states that the woman will ultimately.have to bo returned to New Zealand. . .
