TWO POLICE KILLED
AMERICAN BANK BANDIT
SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER
SEATTLE, July 15.
A lone bandit, who, from the description, the police believe to be William Milium, a fugitive wanted in connection with the Weyerhacuser kidnapping, stole £IOO from' a bank in the town of Orting to-day, and in escaping) killed two policemen. The bandit left the hank in an automobile, and the police watching, surrounded the roads and halted him on suspicion. Without warning he shot and killed both men.
Federal agents and local police arc engaged in a widespread hunt. It is pointed out that although Malum is supposed to still have Rome £20.000 of the kidnap money, the serial numbers of the currency have been widely published, and he'is no doubt hard up for funds.
