GISBORNE VUSIT ENDS VICEREGAL FAREWELL K LNDNESS APPRECIATED Concluding their brief stay in Poverty Bay, the Governor-General and Viscountess Galway left Gisborne this morning for Wairoa and Napier, the departure from Gisborne being signalised b"v' the assembly of a considerable crowd ' bi the neighborhood of the Masonic Hotel, many townspeople being anxious to catch a last, glimpse of the Vice-regal party. Before entering their car, Their Excellencies met in" their suite the Mayor, Mr. D. W. Coleman, M.P., Mrs. L. Balfour, Mr. Charles Matthews, chairman of the Cook County Council. Colonel R. F. GambrilL, Mr. J. Tombleson, Harbor Board chairman, and the town clerk, Mr. W. M. .Jenkins. Mrs. Balfour attended to bid farewell to Her Excellency on behalf of the Girl Guides' Association, of which she is district commissioner.

His Excellency asked that his and Viscountess Galway's thanks be conveyed to all who had contributed to the very pleasant experiences of their visit, to Gisborne, and expressed the nope that in the not fur distant future ho and Her Excellency would be able, to pay a further and less hurried visit to the district.
