ECLIPSE OF THE MOON
This evening's total eclipse of the moon will provide something in the way of novelty, for when the full moon rises it will be in :i state of total eclipse and will have been so for an hour or so previously. Whether it will be visible at all upon rising depends first of all on the state of the weather, and secondly upon the density of the earth's shadow which will he obscuring the moon. Usually duriiW the total eclipse of the moon that 'body is visible as a retldish or copper-colored disc, so with the promise of clear weather the phenomenon'should he visible. The moon will remain totally eclipsed for nearly an hour after it has risen.
