"WOULD SHOCK NATIVES" LONDON, May 15. "If the natives of Africa came to England they would be horrified at the way in which many people in London lived" said the African Bishop of Masasi yesterday. The bishop officiated at the blessing and dedication of new flats in Somcrs Town, NAY., which are part of a shim clearance scheme. "When David Livingstone saw how the natives in Africa lived in slavery," the bishop said, "he went | to Oxford and Cambridge and told what he had seen, and asked that something should be done to remove this open sore of the world. "To-day the open sore of the great Empire .in which wo live is the siinof our great cities."
