CASE IN TORONTO TORONTO, June 1. Rhinoscleroma, a disease belonging to the leprosy group which attacks the larnyx, the pharynx and. the respiratory tracts, has invaded Canada and the first case is now being treated in Toronto, it was revealed yesterday at the convention of the American I.aiyn gological Association. The disease which was described as “progressively fatal over a period ot years,” was discussed at the convention by Dr W. Chamberlain, Cleveland throat specialist, i ■ The Toronto patient, a young man of Polish-Ukraiman origin, is being treated in the Toronto General Hospital under the direction of Dr Perry Goldsmith.
