SATURDAY’S GAMES REPS. V. THE MAORIS Arrangements for next Saturday’s games, when the all-Maori team will be seen in action, wore made at last night’s meeting of the Poverty BayHockey Association’s executive. There were present: Mr. P. Sim, chairman, Mesrs. R. Keilia, J. Henderson, G. Graham, B. Crosby, C. Gretg, G. File aud the secretary, Mr. G. Quinn. Mr. P*. Tahoe, selector for the wo in on representative team, was absent, but be submitted the following team to play The Best as a trial fbf the Lady Carroll Shield game next Saturday:—Mesdames Horsfall, Whaitia, Tahoe, Misses G. Brown, L. Smith, Wehipeihaim, Mrs. Edwards, Miss/ M, Tuhoe, Mrs. Watene, -Misses R. Burn, K. Tootn, and G. Nepia. The team to play the representatives was selected as iollows: —Goal, Airs. Brown (Te Karaka) ; fullbacks, Misses K. Koupouroa (Y.M.P.), and J. Allen (Kia Toa); halves, Misses M. Watts (Kia Ton). D. Ball (Kia Toa), and L. Noa Noa (Hnuiti); forwards, Misses T. Hale (Hnuiti). M. Kuril (Waituhi), .1. Wells (Old Girls), M. Maunsell (Ilauiti). Emergencies: Forwards, Misses J. Gould and A. Lloyd ; backs. Misses B. Robinson, and M. McCartney. The liawke’s Bay Ilockev Association advised that the dates submitted by Poverty Bay for a game at Gisborne were not suitable, and asked for alternatives. It was decided to suggest either August 17 or 24. A further entry was received for the women's competitions in the form of a Rovers team, and it was decided to match this combination against Old Girls on Saturday. It was also decided to play one men’s competition game. The final of the men’s seven-a-side tournament was set down for 1.45 p.m. on July 27. . Fixtures for next Saturday were settled as follows: COMPETITION GAMES Women.—Rovers v. Old Girls, No. d ground, 3 p.m. Men.—Y.M.C.A. (B) v. Foresters B, No. 2 ground, 1.45 p.m. •REPRESENTATIVE- GAMES Women.—The Reps v. The Rest, No. 1 ground. 1.45 p.m. Men.—All-Maori team v. Poverty Bay, No. 1 ground, 2.45 p.m.
