RACING AT TRENTHAM.—Interesting racing events as seen at Trenuiam on Thursday on the second day of the Wellington Racing Club's winter meeting. 1, Finish of the Parliamentary Handicap, with Mercian Prince, a rank outsider, a little ahead of West Tor (obscured), with Horowhenua third, followed by Lord Val and Korero. 2, Over the brush in the Matai Steeplechase. 3, Tybolt returning to the saddling paddock after winning the Members’ Handicap, followed by Kamal Pasha, who finished second. 4, Finish of the Matai Steeplechase, in which Monastic is seen boating Sir Musk, 5, King Thomond leading the field over the first hurdle in the Corunna Hurdles.
