BADMINTON CLUB (Hernhl Correspondent.) The Waikolm Badminton Club is this year playing in the Waikohu Hall. To Ivaraka. Ju previous years it played in the Pulin Hall, hut the club hods the To Karuka Ilall much more central for the members. Last. Wednesday evening' was very enjoyable, a large number of members being presold. During the supper interval the annual meeting of the club was field, when the following members were, elected :—President, Mr, 1). Stevens; club captain, Mr. R. Reynolds; secretary, Mr. .}. jiolds.worth; committee, Messrs. -A. Manuel, V. Seamens. K. Cranswiek, T. Tomhleson, O. Sent t, ,1. Dymoek, and 11. Hopinns. On Thursday evening a team of six' ladies and six men visited the (lishorne chib, when a friendly match, was played, the Gisborne club winning by 12 games to nil. The country club is handicapped by being able to play only one nii?it a week.
