BADMINTON CIjUII (Herald Correspondent.) The Waikolm Badminton Club is this year playing in the. Waikoliu Hall, Te Karaku. In previous years it played in the Paha Hall, but the club finds the To Karaku Hall much more central lor tlie members.. Last .Wednesday evening was very enjoyable, a large number of members being present. During the,supper interval the annual meeting of the club was held, when the following members were elected :—President, \fr. 11. Stevens; club captain, Mr. J{, . Reynolds ' secretary. Mr. .1. . Holdsworth; committee, Messrs. A. Manuel, V. Seamens. •K,,Oransw,iek, T. Tomblcr son. 0. Scott. J., Dymock, and,H. Hopkins. _A,. „> ...... On Thursday evening a team of six ladies and six men visited the Gisborne club, -when a friendly match was played, Ihe Gisborne club winning by 12 games to nil. The country club is handicapped by being' able to play only one night, a week.
