STEEPLECHASING AT TRENTHAM.—I, First time over the brush in the Wellington Steeplechase on the opening day of the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting at Trentham on Tuesday. 2, Finish of the Wellington Steeplechase. 3, Clearing a fence in the Trentham Hurdles. 4, Collision and Colombo (10) fighting out the Woburn Handicap to finish in that order. 5, Prince Acre returning after winning the Stewards’ Handicap. 6, Revision winning the Trentham Hurdles from Esteem, Rasouli, and Manawatu. 7, Finish of the Whyte Handicap, with Horowhenua beating Curie, Lord Val, and Boudoir (obscured) in that order. 8, Hunting Jay, the winner, leading the field in the Vittoria Hurdles, followed by Kia Tina, Lord Argosy, and Imasurvey. In centre, a view of the saddling paddock when preparing for the Wellington Steeplechase.
