pOXHi DEL'ABLE interest has been auii infested in the setting of a new record for weight ,of root crops grown in Hawke’s" Bay by Mr J. H. Lloyd, of Mangatorctere, with a crop of mangels which weighed out at, the yield of 11’I tons blent, per acre, as officially recorded by Mr d. W. Palmer, instructor in agriculture in Hawke As Bay. The crop was a very even one, with a number of large roots.
