REQUEST TO POWERS FAILURE OF. ARBITRATION (Received July 11, 2 p.m.) LONDON, July 10. The Times Addis Ababa correspondent says that an official communique expresses no surprise at the Italian attitude at The Hague, and says that Ethiopia, always desiring a _ peaceful solution, demanded the immediate con vocation of the. League Council. Abyssinia has also sent notes to the British, French, and Belgian Ministers hoping that it will no longer be necessary to oppose the supply of munitions necessary for the defence of her integrity and independence.
