LAND SETTLEMENT
There are now 40 men employed on the Waikato Land Settlement Society’s four farms at Roto-o-rangi, Wliatawliata, and Wharcpapa, which aggregate 60GO acres, included in the number are many to whom sections will bo eventually allotted when the ■ land is sufficiently developed to become .profitably productive. There are now o2 cottages on the four farms. The society lias decided to build a hall on its Roto-o-rangi block for the use of men employed there. A gift ol LI GO has been received from Mr. It. Laidlaw, of Auckland. The society has also received a bandsome gift from Airs. O. It. Farrer, of Hamilton, who has presented three cottages situated on a farm she owns near Te Ivuiti.
