AUTOMOBILE PRODUCTION
NEW YORK, May 3. Automobile production so far this year has set. a new mark since 1930, and predictions are heard that the industry will bo able to keep up the pace and probably bring the complete 1935 total to the best since the record year of 1929 when the biggest boom in all history was coming to its peak. Estimates are that the first half of 1935 will record automobile production reaching tlic. 2,309,355 units turned in 1930. Retail sales are reportedly far above expectations so that producers do not expect a letdown of any sizeable amount until July when a less than seasonal decline is anticipated.
