20 VESSELS LOST
AUSTRALIAN CYCLONE PEARLERS’ HEAVY LOSS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received April 6, noon.) PERTH, April 6. Of 36 vessels of the pearling fleet which were struck by the cyclone, 14 have returned to Broome, 20 are lost, and two are anchored at sea. Lium hope is held out for the luggers which are not accounted for. It is estimated that 141 Asiatics lost their lives. The loss to the pearlers is estimated at. £24,700.
