DISPOSAL OF STANDS
CHARITIES TO BENEFIT (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 10 a.m. RUGBY, April 5. In regard to the arrangement made* for witnessing the Royal Jubilee procession on May 6, it was stated in U'o House of Commons to-day that except for stands reserved for members of both Houses of Parliament, certain overseas visitors, and others with special claims, the remainder of the seats, in all numbering 10,000 would be sold to the public through the British Charities’ Association at a uniform price of 2s 6d, the whole of the net profits being devoted to charity on May 11. When Their Majesties pass in the first drive, the whole of the stands in the Mall and Constitution Hill will be handed, free:of cost, to the London County Council for the use of 70,000 school children.
