ANNUAL CONFERENCE ASSEMBLY AT ROTORUA (Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, this day. Delegates to the annual press conference have assembled in Rotorua for the proceedings which commence to-day. Delegates now in Rotorua include Sir Cecil Leys (N.Z. Newspapers), Messrs. Henry Horton and Ron Horton (N.Z. Herald), J. Coombe (Manawatu Standard), R,. 11. Billens (Manawatu Times), C. W. Earle (Dominion, Wellington), W. J. Blundell and Etrnest- Blundell (Evening Post, Wellington), R. D. Bell (Ashburton Guardian), A. M. Burns (Press, Christchurch), Ei. Bell (Times and Star, Christchurch), E. C. Huie (Sun, Christchurch), W. Easton (Otago Daily Times), C. Stanley Smith (Star, Dunedin), W. Bisset (Times, Invercargill), E. Abbey-Jones (News, Invercargill), A. L. Muir (Herald, Gisborne); E. G. Kerr and A. J. Allport (Herald, Timaru), A. B. Lane (manager of the United Press Association). Advertising and commercial firms connected with Atfe business side of the newspaper industry are well represented, and it is expected that the conference, which will continue till Friday, will he a successful one. > A number of delegates have yet to arrive.
