POSITION SATISFACTORY AN EXCELLENT DEMAND (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Preaa Assu.) (Received Feb. 18, 11 a.m.) LONDON) Feb. 17. The butter position remains satisfactory with prices of Australian and New Zealand ranging from 80s. to this, as the daily demand fluctuates. Usually prices rise 2s. or 3s. early in the week and relapse the same amount when the 'buyers’ requirements are satisfied.
The consumptive demand continues to be excellent, although the retail prices are now generally lOd. to lid. per lb. -Cold store stocks have been red need to 387,000 boxes. Australia and New Zealand cheese is meeting a good .demand, and-prices are slightly ;firinci‘V though 'still too low to be profitable.
