Although tliere was a net migration loss during 1934, it substantial increase iti tourist traffic is reported in. the Jaiiuarv Abstract of Statistics. The excess of! departures,over arrivals last year was 1647, showing an improvement coriipared with the totdls of 2i83 ill 1933 and 2933 in 1932. During the year, 10,879 tourists and other temporary visitors*! arrived in the Dominion, as against 8953 in 1933. These figures ark exclusive'of tourists on cruising liners, the number for 1934 being 3538.,'
