CELEBRATED SOPRANO MARGARET MASTERMAN COMING TO REGENT Gisborne music lovers will be provided with a real treat next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, when Miss Margaret Mnsteriiian, a celebrated coloratura and lyric, soprano who has recently bee A appearing in recitals and concerts in London anil other parts of England, will make a personal appearance and sing gems from her extensive repertoire. Miss .Mast Annan is directly descended from the famous musicians Henry and William Lawcs. She was born at Dorking, Surrey, and received her vocal tuition und'ei Madame Mclntyre and Miss Sara Melita in London, and Madame Florence Holtman in Paris. After a course of French song iepcrtoire in Palis, Miss Masrcrman continued her miv-j'-al training in Italy, where she studied operatic roles and acting. Miss Mastorman made her stage debut in “The Barber of Seville“ at Desio with Sudani’s Milanese Opera Company, and subsequently sang with them with much success in the neighboring towns. After her return to England she appeared- ni concerts in London and the provinces, and i- now engaged on a - months’ tour. Mr. Wilfred Kohn will act as accompanist.
