The committee of the Alotu 'Sports ('lull met on Monday evening, Air. T. Jackson presiding .over a small attendance, there being also present Alcssrs. R. S. Fisher. J. Donaldson, W. Donaldson, and J. Mrs W. Fisher returned' to Gisborne on Wednesday utter spending some weeks with her daughter, Mrs T. Tycrman.—Mrs T. MeCreedy, Tolaga Hay, is the guest of her sister, .Mrs McGuincss, Motnhora.—Advice has been received that Mrs L. C. Arthur underwent a serious operation in Auckland on AVcdnesday morning, and is as well as can be expected.
