HOMESTEAD BURNED
dwelling near kaikoura (Por Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last niglit. A fire on Tuesday evening completely destroyed the eight-roomed single-storey homestead of Mr G. LT. Shaml at (lie head of Blue Buck Valiev 20 miles from Kaikoura. Ihe family escaped in their night attire and nothing was saved. The insurance on the property is included in a £4OOO policy in the London and Lancashire Office, but this also includes coverages on other buildings.
