NEW ZEALANDER. AT HOME
Dr. A. T. Begg, of Pukekohe, has almost completed a refresher course in obstetrics, etc., at Guy’s Hospital, London. He lias also attended Aiillbill Lancer Laboratory and the Imperial Cancer Research Laboratory. Dr. Begg hopes to be able to put in a little tune at someof the important clinics in Middlesex before returning to New Zealand, and if he is able to complete bis itinerary, should reach bis home town of Pukekohe about the end of January. „ Dr. Begg reports that at the Wakefield West Riding Laboratory, the bacteriological and pathological sections involve the treatment of over one and a half million people each year, a number practically equal to the entire population of New Zealand. He lias met a number ot his Otago University colleagues in London, all of whom seem to be working hard at the laboratories.
