SHOOTING MISHAP
TRAGEDY IN INDIA
(Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received January 2, 3 p.m.) LUCKNOW, Jan. 1. A tragic sequel to snap shooting at beer bottles occurred during a Christmas hunting expedition in the jungle. The guests included Lieutenant Withers, of the Royal Engineers, with his wife and her brother. The latter allegedly aimed at one bottle twice. As he was firing a second shot, as a bottle was falling, Mrs. Withers, who had just finished luncheon, entered the line of fire and received a charge of No. 6 shot in the breast at pouit blank range, and died immediately.
