WAIRARAPA MEETING CONCLUDING RESULTS \ (Per I’ross Association.) CARTERTON, last night. Tlu’ second day oi the Wairarapa. Racing Club’s meeting at Tauherenikau opened in heavy rain and thunder, but alter the second race the rain ceased and the weather was warm and humid. The track, especially at. the start oi the meeting, was very slippery, but it improved as the day wore on. The at-, tendance was only fair. The totalisator handled £8279 against £11,322 on the same day last year. The total investments lor the meeting wero £18,912, compared with £26,9(50 last year.
Concluding results .were:— Moron. .Handicap.— 3 Grand Blow, 7.0 (J. Shcclnin), 1 ; 2 Umpire, 8.6, 2: 4 Dorado, 7.10, 3. Also ran: 1 'Jo Ua, 5 Chaste. Won hy halt' a, head and two lengths. Time, .1.41 1-5. Waihenga Handicap.—l Piadie, 8.13 (S. Wilson), 1; 2 Cawbeen, 8.4, 2; 3 La Poupee, 8.8, 3. Also ran : 4 Perimeter. Won by a. head and five lengths. Time, 1.26 4-5,
Grcytown Handicap.—l Tupurangi, 7.7 (Si. Anderson), 1; 4 Dollar Bill, 7.4, 2; 3 Detrop, 7.8, 3. Also ran: 2 Orby’s Last, 6 All Speed, 5 Acceptable, Won by three, lengths. Time, 1.15. The course was m splendid order and tin; attendance good. The Lutnlisator handled £6324, a decrease of £1416. Ihe decrease for the meeting was £3063.
