RIVERS IN FLOOD

(Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. After two months of almost unbroken drought, torrential rain fell throughout Taranaki yesterday. Rivers are in full summer flood, carrying abnormal quantities of driftwood. Many new year sports fixtures were abandoned.
