STORM IN AUCKLAND
HEAVY PALI. OP RAIN (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A tolal of ljjin. of rain fell in the city in 24 hours up to 9 a.m. to-day. The weather is now brighter, but still threatening. The heaviness of the fall varied considerably, even in adjoining suburbs. Jn one suburb there was a hailstorm, and jagged pieces of ice, exceptionally large, made a frightening noise on rools.
