A serious attack was made at Waipukuvau on a voting git'l, Dorothy' Ross, 7, bv .an Alsatian dog. Tile child was j bitten on the back and clawed badly. So serious were tlnj injuries .that it was found necessary to admit the sufferer to hospital. The dog was shot. C;nests at the Masonic Hotel during the past few days included Messrs. H. 1).
