STRONG EARTHQUAKE

A message from Berkeley, California, states that a strong earthquake, one ot the most serious ever recorded, occurred on Monday. . Professor Perry R.yerly, University ot California seismologist, said it must have caused great damage unless the shock was centred at sea. Various sections in California reported tlio shock, which lasted two minutes.
